A bit about us.....
It all started in New Zealand back in 2004 with one ski hat. Living in the mountains year round makes the ski hat a ubiquitous part of the wardrobe. Finding one that is functional, comfortable, and stylish is challenging. To meet that need BlackSheepWoolworks was born to make the perfect hat.
With a love and respect of the mountains and those rare wild places still left, we believe that as a business that we must operate responsibly. That’s why make quality hats that are designed to last. Field tested in the mountains of the Wasatch, Sierra Nevada, New Zealand, Adirondacks, Rockies, Alaska you name it, these hats are made to work.
Inspired by nature, BlackSheepWoolwork hats are simple, beautiful, and functional. If you are ever dissatisfied with your hat, send it back! We’ll fix it. Love your hat so much that it’s become half Moab dirt and wool? We’ll refurbish your hat for you so it looks like new.

Crochet vs knit?
Most of our hats are crocheted, but we can do knit hats as well.
How long does it take?
Depending on the number of orders we’re working on hats take about a week.
What colors do you have?
We haven’t had a request yet that we couldn’t meet, just about all colors.
